The Pathway - Centennial Plastics

Hastings is home to Kool-Aid, Smith Softball Complex and Hastings College, but I bet you didn't know that one of the premiere polyethylene pipe making companies in the world is here also. Centennial Plastics makes custom plastic piping for companies all over the world. In this tour Anthony gets to see how it's made, then BLOW UP the pipe and finally see how they are delivered to the customers.

The Pathway - Good Samaritan Village

The medical field is one of the fastest growing industries. Anthony gets a first hand look inside the amazing opportunities available in the Perkins Pavilion at Hastings Good Samaritan Village. We help residents and provide them services through CNA/Med Tech support, cooking meals in the kitchen, upkeep with the housekeeping staff and we talk to a nurse about the importance of caring for others.

The Pathway - AGP

For this tour I not only got to see a number of different job opportunities when working with AGP, but I was also able to go to 4 of their locations and check out the awesome places a career here can take you. I worked on cleaning and unloading trucks, testing soybean oil out of a semi truck and even got to work on machines. This place has a lot of opportunities and it was a great trip!

The Pathway - Flowserve

In this episode, Anthony goes inside the pump making business at Flowserve, where he gets to forge cast iron, machine parts, assemble final pumps and check out the testing facility. There is never a shortage of opportunities here at Flowserve and the process of creating these worldwide products is simply awesome to experience.

The Pathway - Five Points Bank

Anthony heads to Hastings to meet with the employees of Five Points Bank. They share the requirements of processing checks, cash and mobile deposits, we take a look at how loans are processed and we visit with the bank president about the goal to provide outstanding customer service to each and every customer. As Hastings largest bank, Five Points offers a great work environment, with great benefits and compensation.

In this episode, Anthony takes on the rubber making business. Bruckman Rubber Co. is one of the Midwest’s leading manufacturers of rubber parts and compounds. Anthony gets to make a batch of rubber, learns how they make the molds and works with the team to mold, trim and ship the products out to customers. From making rubber to precision trimming, the ins and outs of the rubber business are awesome.
