"To encourage people to shop local, I am announcing the launch of the Shop Hastings Challenge. Over the past few years, we have seen our retail sales decrease in Hastings during the month of December and COVID-19 will impact that even more. To help make up some of that difference for our local businesses, I am challenging our community to spend at least $1.5 million above and beyond what we usually spend shopping locally through the end of December."  Mayor Corey Stutte
